There are free educational opportunities available. One good example is the Alabama Public Health Training Network which offers free satellite broadcasts and webcasts for health professionals. Many of the satellite broadcasts are also archived for on-demand viewing on the internet. The programs offered are usually short (1.5-2 hrs), contain a lot of good information, and cover a wide range of topics. Visit www.adph.org for more information.
If you are planning on viewing a live satellite broadcast, please check with MIS first to make sure that someone else hasn’t already arranged to view a satellite broadcast at the same date/time.
